Good to hear Max. I figured Furry Creek would be gong show because of the long weekend. Glad you found some space.

I did my first smoke yesterday and it turned out great.  I'm off to take youngest Crappie fishing today. I'm pretty excited. My older son has always had the bug but after camping in the Caribou this year, my youngest has developed the itch too. Hopefully the hoard of anglers in Squamish means open water where I'm headed!

This topic on Furry Creek has brought back memories.  Back in around 1982, My wife, son, dog and self went for a picnic.  Where to go?  Let's try for Furry Creek.  Arriving at the junction, there was someone directing traffic (start of gong show) into the parking space.  We walked up the creek only to find EVERY possible picnic spot taken.  Arriving at the falls, only to discover that they were clearing the area for a subdivision.  That is over 30 years ago so I can imagine what is there now.  Shortly after we moved to Kelowna, only to leave there after 8 years when their gong show of crowds started to get out of hand.  Now I can go fishing/picnicking all by ourselves (if I plan it right), even an hour out of the fourth largest urban area in Canada.
