I caught my first Bull trout yesterday on a local river. It was a tough but still fun not too many fish caught.

Very nice!! :)

Thanks for sharing that Matt!  Nicely done!  Bulls are a rare fish on some of the rivers.

Here's a bull trout that I caught on Friday afternoon (photo courtesy of Vance Whitely). It put up quite the battle, but was a bit dicey with 6X tippet in such a strong current...

Well I haven't exactly had any fish pictures to show, but here is one from today.

This eel was found while doing some intertidal area sampling for one of my courses.  I believe it is a type of moray, but the name escapes me.
I chase the allure of standing in a river, casting dries in an attempt to watch that beast come up and take my fly.  Then I usually blow it by setting the hook to soon....

Great day on the Cowichan yesterday. :) :)  Lots of feisty Rainbows up to 15" and a beauty Brown that gave my ESN 3wt and 6x a good run for the money in the fast water.  I do love that river!!! :)

Mainlander makes good!! Here is Vance, with his first Cowichan Steelhead.  Great Saturday with him, Brennan and Evan - lots of feisty Rainbows and a couple of Browns as well.   :) :)
