Competition #5 of the 2015 B.C. Provincial River Fly Fishing Championships

Date: Sunday, April 12, 2015.
Location: Vedder/Chilliwack River.
No Fishing Period: All competition beats are closed to fishing as of 8:00am Monday, April 6, 2015.
Targeted Species: Trout, northern pike minnows, and whitefish.
All participants must wear CSA Approved Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) and eye protection!

Beat 3: Tamihi Bridge (one group on north side, one on south - can only fish to middle of Chilliwack River)
Beat 4: Tamihi Boulders (South side of Chilliwack River)

Starting positions for all competitors within each beat half:

Session One (morning):
Competitors 3&4 in Top Sextants of their beat halves
Competitors 5&6 in Middle Sextant of their beat halves 
Competitors 1&2 in Lower Sextant of their beat halves 

Session Two (afternoon):
Competitors 5&6 in Top Sextant of their beat halves 
Competitors 1&2 in Middle Sextant of their beat halves 
Competitors 3&4 in Lower Sextant of their beat halves

7:00am Competitors' Meeting at Tamihi Bridge (South bank upstream side)

Session One (8:00am 11:45am on 1 river beat)

8:00am 9:30am:
Competitor 1, 3, & 5  -  Upper half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes)         
Competitor 2, 4, & 6  -  Lower half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes)                         

Rotate Beat Halves: 9:30am 10:15am (45 minute allowance)            

10:15am 11:45am:
Competitor 1, 3, & 5  -  Lower half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes)         
Competitor 2, 4, & 6  -  Upper half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes

11:45am 12:45pm  - Relocate to other Beat in your schedule (1 Hour)

Session Two (12:45pm 4:30pm on 1 river beat)

12:45pm 2:15pm:
Competitor 1, 4, & 6  -  Lower half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes)         
Competitor 2, 3, & 5  -  Upper half of Beat (rotate sextants after 30 minutes

We will also be looking for volunteer controllers for this event, much as we did for the previous one.  This would involve being at the event all day, but simply being stationed in a specific area to monitor the catches of the anglers within view.  If anyone wishes to volunteer in this capacity, we'd be greatly appreciative!
