Learning Material on loch style fishing
« on: May 17, 2017, 07:49:48 PM »
Hello all.  I was looking to see if anyone had any book or dvd recommendations on loch style fishing.

I really enjoyed the book 'Dynamic Nymphing by George Daniel'.  Is there material of that same caliber on loch style fishing?

Stan Headley's the Loch Fisher's Bible but it is not solely focused on the technique really.

UK Magazines are a good source on the how-tos.  Trout Fisherman and Total Flyfisher are good, and both have online subscriptions I think.  They every now and then publish tons of loch style info, from basics to advanced.

There aren't many DVDs available mainstream, but you can find some on youtube.

Look up:

John Horsey
Born to Fish
Simon Gawesworth
Ian Barr - Modern Stillwater Tactics
Cris Ogborne

Or you can try and find my you tube channel online (type my name in) and you should find a bunch of loch style videos from the above awesome anglers compiled there.
I will fish anywhere and find beauty in it.
