Shopping for Fly Tying Products
« on: June 07, 2017, 09:28:11 AM »
I am curious as to where one could buy fly tying products online.  I am particularly interested in tying comp style nymphs.  I am just starting to tie comp flies and need to but in a big order for a bunch of different things.  Hooks, beads, thread, and other material etc.

So consider this situation, if you had the opportunity to start tying flies from scratch and you wanted to tie comp style nymphs, how would you go about purchasing your required fly tying material?

That's tough as I find I have to buy from a lot of spots online, depending on what I need.  Robinsons on Vancouver Island is great to deal with, but I can't recall how their online store is set up.

I buy stuff from the following:
Robinsons Outdoors
Dave Downie (http://fly-fishingworld.com/)
Trout Legend
Farlows
Siman.cz
Canadian Llama
Czech Nymphs (Karel)

I know there is more too but that is all I can think of at the moment. I probably missed a few good shops.
I will fish anywhere and find beauty in it.

For my comp hooks and beads I use Skagit Anglers on Ebay,Daryl is a local Fraser Valley addicted flyfisher to all things with fins.I can't say enough good things about his service.
Always remember to take one more last cast!
