Here are the results of today's Draw:

For me, the quality of a trout is not measured in inches or pounds, but rather by the journey and circumstances that allowed our paths to cross...

Ernie
I want to thank you for allowing me to act as a "controller" at the competition.
Please pass on my gratitude to the competitors for their kind thank you's and for teaching me more about Fly Fishing than I thought I had left to learn.
The generosity of the sponsors and especially the team's fly box donations are overwhelming.
And thank you and your team for all of your hard work. Sign me up for the next one.

Hi Ernie,

Thank you for having us, we were glad to participate in such an event and we would be happy to do it again.
You did a splendid job in getting it all organized as I'm sure it wasn't easy in getting all the co- ordinates in order.
I think everyone had a good time and we met some great people and we loved the town of Elora.
See you soon at Humber Springs.

Thank you, Ernie.
It was a pleasure to do my bit to make the competition move smoothly.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend tonight's festivities after all.
Have a great time, you certainly deserve it for the wonderful job you've done.

To whom It may concern.

I met several of the competitors of the elora fly fishing event this weekend at our local pub as they were celebrating their day on the water.  Pints and fish stories,  no better pairing! :)

As an avid fly angler that lives close to the water and knows the river intimately, i enjoyed the camaraderie and shared passion.

One of the members gave me a pin!

An engaging and well-organized sporting event that showcased the Conestogo and Grand River fisheries.
Points to the importance of local organizations cooperating together, to bring a supportive national publicized event such as the National Fly-Fishing Championship to Elora. Great benefit to Big Brothers charity which the NFFC supported as well as local CW Tourism. A real shame that our own FOGR did not feel this was not an important enough event to support! We hope that the NFFC comes this way again soon.

Hey Competitors!

Mike Emeneau (one of our volunteer controllers) is the guy who took some great photos of some of us competitors during fishing sessions. His photos were the ones we showed on our slide-show at Friday evening's Awards Banquet.

Anyway, Mike gave the NFFC and Big Brothers/ Big Sisters permission to use any photos from his album as long as you give credit to "Mike Emeneau". Feel free to make slight modifications (cropping, straightening, etc.).

Here's the link to all his photos, for your enjoyment! https://photos.app.goo.gl/vGQGp1GGNIWwK2Xo2

If any of you have photos to share, please post a link on this forum! Especially, we need to see photos of the medal winners at the banquet (teams and individuals) please?!

Thanks.
-Ernie.

I reviewed the session results, and the total number of fish caught and released at the UCTC Pond during the 2.5 days (5 sessions) was 335, including one brookie, I believe (that one was caught by Rick Wilson of Texas, on my team, the Ospreys – his first Brookie, after more than 40 years of fly-fishing!). The Pond Sector Judge, Brian Vickery confirmed the largest rainbow measured 53.5cm (21 inches).

In contrast, of the total 1,135 fish caught in the whole 3-day, 6-session tournament, the Grand produced 416 browns, and the Conestogo produced 384.  So a very respectable percentage produced by the Pond, in comparison!

So the approximate percentage-wise breakdown of the total was:

36% Grand
34% Conestogo
30% Pond

Cheers,
-Ernie.
