The Camolux affair is over.. A new intermediate line.
« on: October 15, 2018, 08:24:30 AM »
Hi guys, I've been using Rios Intouch Camolux line for almost a whole season. It has worked well in the warmer months of June/July, but has not done well this Fall with terrible coiling and completely loosing it's suppleness. I've tried stretching, heating it up then stretching, trolling it etc... It just coils and becomes a rigid mess in the basket... I'm wondering what others are using for a solid multi season/all weather intermediate line. I'm liking my Airflo type 3 and 7 and thinking a Fast Intermediate maybe the way to go, but before I spend the money, is there any lines in that sink rate you guys could recommend?  Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

I've always enjoyed my Rio Aqualux.

For me, the quality of a trout is not measured in inches or pounds, but rather by the journey and circumstances that allowed our paths to cross...

I like the Airflo Fast Glass Ridge Clear line, as a suggestion.
I will fish anywhere and find beauty in it.

Well I have to say I have a new fave line for the shallows. The line performed very well. Casts nice, no coils(below freezing) and with the no stretch technology I could detect every touch of a weed and those ever so light takes.

Thanks for the input John. Good to hear the line works well in colder conditions. Time to fill another spool with an Airflo line :)

I went to the Eikre Demersio a couple years back. It has fished in all sorts of temperatures here in Alberta. From ice off to ice on and everything in between. What I really like is the two different sink rates built into the line. It has a 1.75 ips. forward section and a 1.25 ips. running section. Has become a go to shallow water line for me and has done very well.
