When anyone pays, please post it here or send me a private PM or email just to make sure I got it!

Just a friendly reminder to everyone participating in this comp.

If you are planning on buying your FFC membership for 2019 ... please do so before this event to avoid the newly imposed $5 event fee for nonmembers.

READ this thread for details.

I have updated the list above for those who have paid.  if you have paid but you aren't noted as such on the list, please get a hold of me and let me know.  If you haven't paid as of yet, please let either of Todd or I know your intentions as soon as possible.  Please note that fees were due February 8th (2 weeks ago).

Please remember as Mike pointed out above that if you don't pay your FCC membership prior to paying for this event, the entrance cost is $15 as opposed to $10.  If you are unsure if you have paid your FFC membership, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks Gerald! Looking forward to seeing you at this event! :)

Update for February 26, 2019:

Due to a stall in registration process, we are considering limiting this event to 16 competitors, so we can set up the rotations and beats based on 16 competitors. In reality, having 16 competitors will actually provide the best experience for the competitors that will be participating at this event.

Please share this event with anyone that you feel might be interested in filling the final spot for this event!

UPDATE REGARDING ROTATIONS WITHIN THE QUARTER SECTIONS (QUADRANT) OF EACH BEAT:

Please note that there the beats are divided into 4 quadrants.
There will be 1 competitors fishing within each quadrant (4 competitors per beat).
The competitors fishing within the 2 quadrants within each half of the beat will swap quadrants after 20 minutes fishing time.
After 40 minutes fishing time, all 4 competitors will move to the opposite half of their beat and resume fishing.
The competitors will swap quadrants within their half of the beat after 20 minutes fishing time.
Competitors will draw straws (4 different lengths) upon their arrival at each beat in order to determine the starting positions for each competitor.
The competitor that draws the longest straw is identified as Competitor Number 1; the second longest is Competitor Number 2; the third longest is Competitor Number 3; and the shortest is Competitor Number 4 (see illustrations below)

-------------------------------------------------------

Initial positioning for the first 20 minutes on the beat and the quadrant rotations:

-------------------------------------------------------

Positioning for the next 20 minutes and the quadrant rotations:

-------------------------------------------------------

Positioning for the next 20 minutes and the quadrant rotations:

-------------------------------------------------------

Final positioning for the last 20 minutes on the beat:

This new rotation/format will provide more equal opportunities and create a more fair rotation for all competitors, as no one will have to walk a distance greater than 2 quadrants during the rotations within each beat. It will also reduce the amount of time and energy that's required to rotate within the beats and ensure that competitors are able to monitor each other at all times.

There's still room for one or two more people to join in on the fun, so please consider this as your invite to join us for a very fun and informative day on the water!

No previous competition experience necessary, as you will be fishing with a very helpful and great group of fly fishers..

Please read and carry a copy of the details and illustrations for the rotations within the beats, which has been posted 2 posts above this post.

Some quick questions:
1. Do we need to wear a PFD?
2. When do the beat maps get emailed out?

PFD are mandatory for all competition held within BC.

As for beat maps I would assume they will be out very soon
