Awesome results!!! Congratulations!!!

The Biggest Fish Award - Gerry Beck Award - will be created in the next months.

Name of the winners added to the trophy.

This article on Youth Fly-Fishing Education came out last Friday in the Crossroads local paper.
Yes, it is a Brown Trout, not a Rainbow:).

I use Airflo, I assume that all very similar, not much differences if the dimensions are the same.

I could not find a retailer in Canada either. You might try eBay, when I checked it in the wintertime the shipping cost was not that bad, maybe around $15 CAD - it is worth it.
I got an Airflo one, it is just awesome.

Fishing was good on most of the lakes. 81 cm Brown Trout from East Goose sounds great, the same fellow fly-fisher claimed another 81 cm from West Goose. The previous MB Brown Trout record was 78.44 cm until this Cup! I guess the fishing was great for some:).

The OC did an awesome job again, thanks for the great dinner!!

Thanks, BR, Janos

Next year MB Provincials is planned to be the middle of September. Official announmmnet will happen early next year!

Hello Matthew,

Next year, before the Nationals, we are planning to have a 3-4 days intensive Fly-Fishing Youth Camp under the leadership of Alisdair Mair, the President of the Coaches in Scotland! Alisdair raised many Scottish Youth Champion, I am sure under his hands the kids would progress very fast. Later on this year we will apply for funds to try to keep costs for the Youth at very minimum. At the camp we could host 16-20 kids, therefore we could have 4-8 kids from BC or other part of the country. As we progress with the project I will keep you posted!

If anyone interested to be a co-coach or wants to bring Youth to the camp please send me a PM!

Thanks, Best Regards, Janos

It will be scary if that 4 Nations Team come to next year Nationals, those guys are calling the fish by first name on Patterson  ;), they caught sooo many fish last week over there.

I will be excited to see a Rossburn Youth Team as well at the Nationals, maybe spiced with some Scottish lads on the team. The ground work started, I have 6 very talented kids (age of 10-15 years) in the program eager to learn.

Yes, Robbie it would be awesome to see you in MB with Your Team at next year MB Nationals as well!

Cheers, Janos

Thanks to all volunteers and supporting organizations we are hoping that the Youth Fly-Fishing Education program will be a success.

After several indoor and outdoor sessions, Youth at the Rossburn Area started to catch trophy size fish on Patterson Lake.
