How would you fish this torrent?

I fish with  debarb flies and I noticed I lose more hooked fish with certain brand of hooks than the others.  This  can be due to mistakes in fighting the fish, but I have realized its more often the hooks.  I have improved my landing rate by turning the hooks about 15 degrees,  and it has also helps.

What do you do to improve my landing rates with debarb hooks?

Hi guys,  I have always worn a vest but over the years its becoming heavier (partially my fault!).   Lately I have seen some good looking Orvis and Simms slings and chest packs.I appreciate any  comments/opinions.

« on: May 22, 2018, 05:21:07 AM »
Hi Fellows,       I have never tied a nymph under # 18, and I usually nymph with #12 and 14.   I was wondering how small the nymph must be?  Do you nymph with size #18 and smaller in BC?

thank you for your comments

« on: May 09, 2018, 02:40:40 AM »
I brook by accident my all time favorite Loomis GLX Czech Nymph 10' 3wt.   I couriered the rod from Italy to G. Loomis rod warrenty in the WA, USA.   Within 3 days tthey wrote back that GLX was no longer in production,  they offered to send me a brand new G. Loomis NRX 1203-4 NYMOH FRG and I only paid for the shipping.
 Fellows, this is service!
