If you see four guys in FishCats hauling in fish, they are my buddies from Ottawa.  Wish I was with them.

Back to the issue of Rainbows in BC lakes and Browns, yes, it was the Kettle River that I fished for Browns.  You had one chance at a cast and if you missed, they were gone.  Good size.  Ate one and it tasted sandy.  Let them all go after that.  I often tell newbie fishers not to eat the fish as they eat leaches and taste terrible.  Got to try anyway I can to get people into C&R. 

Speaking of Kamloops Lake, we had a resort on the lake when I was in High School back in the early 60's.  As was said, that is likely where they got the original rainbows from being as it is a widening of the Thompson connected to the Pacific.
