Due to a last minute cancellation, we are desperately trying to find a fly fisher that would be willing to help us complete the roster for this Sunday's competition. No competition experience necessary, as we will teach you what you need to know and you will be paired with other competitors at all times that will mentor and work with you.

Please reply to this post or email me at: toishis@gmail.com for more information if you're able to help us out, by participating at this fun and informative fly fishing event. Please share this post with anyone that you think might be interested...

Cheers, Todd

Maps and all documents will go out tonight to everyone.  Sorry for the delay - the minions have been swamped.   :-)

Thanks to Jon LeClair for registering as well!!

We now have enough anglers to fill the roster for this competition.

Just a reminder to all, there will be a BBQ at lunch time at the parking lot, and if you want to partake, a donation for the food would be appreciated (we haven't decided where extra funds will go once they cover the costs of the events and such, but typically they go to Youth Team sponsorship, river clean ups, etc... wherever we can put the money to help fishing - so please help out where you can).

One more reminder:

Clocks spring ahead tonite - don't forget.

Weather could be relatively warm tomorrow too, so bring water to hydrate - especially if you are heavily layered for the morning, you might be sweating good in the afternoon.

I think those results were pretty interesting.

First light was certainly somewhat decent (perhaps both tide related and pre-bright light), then it was a struggle for the midday (bright day, low water), and then in the afternoon it exploded.

West side was slightly better than the East, but overall they were fairly even.

Whitefish dominated.

Almost 60% of the fish were caught in the last 80 minutes.

I am confused?  Was this not the points available?

Fly Fishing Canada= Level 4 Competition. 360 Point Value (based on average NRPs of the top 5 competitors).

Thanks,

Clint
