Roche Lake
« on: May 14, 2012, 12:33:17 PM »
Was out on the weekend and fishing was very inconsistent. Everyone was fishing the shoals and along the weeds. Lots of boats out but didn't see anyone consistently hit fish. I got into 8 for the weekend on chronies and leeches. There were a lot of small fish around too. I throat pump the bigger ones and nothing in the throat. I did keep a couple and they were full of daphnia. The biggest was a spawner about 3.5lbs.
The weather was awesome and starting to see some chronny hatches. Will be good soon.

On a side note, I have a 3.5hp 2 stroke but it was misfiring at med-high speed. It might be a dirty carb but usually when that happens the motor dies and doesn't want to start again. This thing starts on the first pull but misfires at med-high speed. Anyone know?

Thanks for the report Michael! Roche is one of my favorite fisheries.

Spins like you might bw having an issue with the timing. I'd take it in for a check...
For me, the quality of a trout is not measured in inches or pounds, but rather by the journey and circumstances that allowed our paths to cross...
