Campbell River Pink Salmon NOW!
« on: July 26, 2012, 09:31:14 AM »
Campbell River is now offering up fresh run, silver-bright Pink salmon to the itinerant fly fisher. The water level is a bit high but ultimately fishable. Haig-Brown’s Line Fence Pool and the tailout of the Big Sandy Pool -- just upstream -- are holding salmon. Stream cleats and a wading staff are indispensable on the Campbell. Sink-tip lines and small flies work well.
Ghillie -- A wise and discreet waterside companion to genteel fly fishers... that's me.
